EGFP
Enhanced Green Fluorescent
Protein RecombinantN-terminus His-tag
Green fluorescent protein, GFP.
Green fluorescent protein (GFP) here refers to the protein first purified from jellyfish (Aequorea victoria). It shows green fluorescence in short-wave light (blue to ultraviolet). Despite of wild-type GFP, many mutants of GFP have been engineered for wider usage in research. Enhanced GFP (EGFP) was derived from GFP with S2insV/F64L/S65T/H231L mutations, which make GFP show increased fluorescence and fold more efficiently under 37 ℃. EGFP permits a broad range of applications where it has functioned as a cell lineage tracer, reporter of gene expression, or a measure of protein-protein interactions.
Expressed, purified from Cell-Free system of Protein Factory 1.0
