pD2P_Fluc plasmid
100μL/tube
Escherichia coli
The pD2P_Fluc plasmid was developed by KANGMA and expresses Firefly Luciferase gene. The codon and all expression elements in the whole plasmid have been optimized to ensure better expression at high levels in Protein Factory-1.0, and can be used as a reference for expression control or dual luciferase reporter gene detection.
Firefly Luciferase can catalyze the oxidation of luciferin to oxyluciferin. In the process of luciferin oxidation, biofluorescence is emitted. The biofluorescence released during the oxidation of luciferin can then be measured by a fluorometer.
In the presence of oxygen, ATP and magnesium ions at the same time, Firefly Luciferase catalyzes the oxidation of luciferin to produce oxyluciferin, while producing yellow-green light with a wavelength of 550-580nm.
